| Dad's interest in music began when as a small boy his parents took him to many carnivals and fairs to hear his sister, June, and brother-in-law, Ed perform. Their group was the Western Swingsters and he loved to hear them play "I Was Born About Ten Thousand Years Ago." Ed ultimately became Dad's first guitar teacher and later taught both his sons, Ronnie and Jim. Dad continued his studies and began teaching and playing various styles of music. He has performed with bands playing venues throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland including playing guitar for the Gold Diggers Dancers of Dean Martin fame, and for jazz trombonist, Urbie Green. Mostly, Dad is very proud to have played bass in El Dorado (early '90's), and now, to be sharing the stage once again with his very talented sons in Mustang. |
